1: In a large pot over medium heat, warm 1 tbsp of olive oil. Add the diced shallot and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant. 2: Add 1 tbsp of butter and the orzo, toasting for 3 minutes. 3: Pour in 4 cups of chicken broth, then add the white beans and kale. Stir thoroughly. 4: Once the kale wilts, add the red chili flakes, salt, pepper, parmesan rind, heavy cream, and basil pesto. 5: Allow the mixture to thicken and the orzo to cook for 8-10 minutes. If you prefer a soupier texture, add more broth as needed. 6: Serve with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese on top.
