Drain and set aside. 2: In the same pot, melt the butter over medium-high heat. 3: Sprinkle in the flour and whisk until a wet, sandy texture is achieved. 4: Gradually whisk in half of the half & half to ensure thorough mixing. Slowly add the remaining half & half and milk, continuing to whisk. 5: Keep whisking until the sauce thickens. 6: Add paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
