What you need

tbsp unsalted butter

tbsp granulated sugar

tsp baking soda

cup mini chocolate chips

cup all purpose flour

cup buttermilk

tsp salt

Instructions
Whisk flour, chocolate chips, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, & salt in a large bowl. Melt 2 tbsp butter. Whisk in buttermilk & egg yolks. Place egg whites in a separate bowl and whisk together. Stir the wet mix into the dry ingredients until just combined. Gently fold in egg whites. Heat a large skillet over medium heat & melt 1 tbsp butter. Scoop 2 tbsp batter into the pan.
