What you need

cup orzo
can white beans

tbsp butter

cup parmesan cheese
tsp salt

pepper
cup chicken broth

shallot

cup basil pesto

tbsp olive oil

cup heavy cream
bunch kale
tsp red chili flakes
Instructions
1: In a large pot over medium heat, warm 1 tbsp of olive oil. Add the diced shallot and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant. 2: Add 1 tbsp of butter and the orzo, toasting for 3 minutes. 3: Pour in 4 cups of chicken broth, then add the white beans and kale. Stir thoroughly. 4: Once the kale wilts, add the red chili flakes, salt, pepper, parmesan rind, heavy cream, and basil pesto. 5: Allow the mixture to thicken and the orzo to cook for 8-10 minutes. If you prefer a soupier texture, add more broth as needed. 6: Serve with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese on top.View original recipe
