slice american cheese

lettuce

oz butter

yellow onion

Instructions
1: Preheat your Blackstone to medium-high heat. 2: Toss the onions in a little butter and cook on the griddle, stirring occasionally, until they’re golden and caramelized—about 8–10 minutes. Push them to the cooler side of the griddle to keep warm. 3: Divide the beef into 4 loose balls. 4: Place the beef balls on the hot griddle and smash them flat using a spatula or burger press. Season with salt and pepper. 5: Cook for 2–3 minutes, until the edges are browned and crispy. Flip, add a slice of cheese to each patty, and cook another 1–2 minutes. 6: Butter the buns and toast them cut side down until golden. 7: Assemble the burgers: toasted bun, patty, a pile of grilled onions, special smash burger sauce.View original recipe
